Makes 8 servings.

Ingredients:

Dough Recipe:

•1/4 ounce package active dry yeast

•1/2 cup warm water

•1/2 teaspoon salt

•additional 1 cup water

•2 tablespoons canola oil

•3 1/2 cups all purpose flour

Sauce Recipe:

•8 oz crushed tomatoes

•Basil

•Oregano

•Garlic

•Pepper

Toppings:

•4 oz cheese blend

•Sliced onions

•Chopped Olives

•Sliced tomatoes

•Spinach

Dough Preparation: In a small bowl, activate yeast with 1 teaspoon sugar and 1/2 cup warm water. Yeast is ready to use when completely dissolved in the water and foaming. In a large bowl, mix salt, water, oil, yeast mixture, and flour. Let dough rise under a blanket for 1 hour before using. This recipe makes enough dough to roll out two 12" pizzas.

Sprinkle pizza stone with cornmeal. After dough has been prepared, roll dough onto a 12” pizza stone. Pour the crushed tomato sauce evenly onto the pizza and sprinkle with the shredded cheese blend. Top off the pizza by adding the desired amount of freshly sliced vegetables.

Cook pizza on a pizza stone, for 20 minutes at 400°, or until cheese has melted and dough is golden brown.
